Our History and Experience

The journey in the world of motorsports for Jay Fredericks has been nothing short of exhilarating, marked by diverse experiences and a passion for high-performance vehicles.


The adventure began at the Capital City Speedway, where Jay started working on late models and legend cars, immersing himself in the intricacies of race car mechanics and fine-tuning. This early exposure laid the foundation for a career dedicated to the pursuit of speed and precision.


Transitioning into the high-stakes realm of NASCAR Canada, Jay accumulated invaluable expertise as a crew chief, navigating the fast-paced and competitive environment of one of North America's premier racing series. The role demanded a meticulous understanding of the race cars, ensuring they were finely tuned for optimal performance on the track.


The journey continued with a stint as a Crew Chief in the Trans AM TA2 series, where Jay assumed a pivotal role in orchestrating the strategic and technical aspects of the team. This challenging position demanded a profound understanding of the nuances of Trans AM racing, showcasing the versatility of skills honed over the years.


Venturing into the world of Porsche Cup racing, Jay took on the responsibilities of a Crew Chief once again. This marked a shift to a different class of racing, where precision and engineering excellence are paramount. The experience added another layer to the already diverse skill set acquired throughout the years.


Returning to NASCAR Canada, Jay took on the role of Crew Chief for Daniel Bois, further solidifying his reputation as a trusted leader in the racing community. The intricate dance of strategy and performance in NASCAR continues to be his expertise.


The racing journey expanded beyond the borders of Canada, with participation in Champ Car and Lucky Dog Racing Canada. These ventures added an international flair to Jay’s racing portfolio, showcasing adaptability and a willingness to embrace new challenges.


In 2013, after dedicating countless hours to the race shop and fueled by an insatiable passion for motorsports, Jay made a significant move by establishing Powersports Garage. This marked a pivotal moment, turning a lifelong passion into a thriving business. The garage became a hub for automotive enthusiasts and racers alike, providing a space for expertise, innovation, and a shared love for high-performance vehicles.
